Overview and Functionality

The statistical spellchecker does offer multilingual spellchecking functionality and marks in a given text - depending on the configuration the user chooses - wrong, probably wrong and suspicious words.

Restrictions

As the spellchecker relies on data gathered by extracting words from large monolingual corpora, it does know about a wealth of word forms in the given language but it cannot know all of them. Thus sometimes a word is considered false even though it is correct.
