Near and Medium Term Future Plans

Infrastructure

The system is designed to utilize an existing distributed client/server infrastructure. However, the setup still bears much manually needed configuration. Our plan is to keep extension of computing capabilities Plug and Play. Plug in new server/cluster hardware and let the software figure it out. :-)

NLP Featureset

We're planning to add the following NLP functionality in the near future:

• A statistical spellchecker for several languages
• More supported languages in numeral conversions (analysis side)

In the medium term future we will add:

• Frontend for both machine and human translation
• Data conversion to enable the user working with virtually any types of documents

Portal Features

Much remains to be done for the portal infrastructure. In the near future we expect to add the following extensions/enhancements:

• A messageboard that will enable us to unify textual presentation on the portal. This should make it possible to use one infrastructure for the help system, announcements, faq, and moderated as well as unmoderated discussion groups. Multi-linguality is mandatory - of course.
• Adding more payment systems, as well as offline payment methods.
• Finish localization to several more languages.

Medium term plans for the Portal Features include:

• Email frontend to all NLP functionality
• Priorization of NLP requests for higher user classes
